HOW do I get the materials?

Cardboard: Grocery
Stores, Office Supply Stores, Appliance Stores... all receive their wares in
cardboard boxes that they subsequently throw away. Just go into one of
those stores and ask to relieve them of their cardboard. They're
usually happy to let you sift through what they have!

Packing Tape: Office
Supply Stores sell packing tape in bulk. For a typical boat, you won't
need more than 1-2 rolls of packing tape.

Cool Science will host a workshop for kids to introduce the concepts of
buoyancy, flotation and displacement at
Fire
Station 19 on May 4, 2005 from 6pm to 7:30pm. All are
welcome, but please RSVP so that we can plan for you! Parking space is limited, so please plan to
carpool if possible.
